Has Microsoft discontinued third party preorders for DLC? I’ve been looking at Black Ops 3 and you can preorder the download for PS4 and PC, but not Xbone through places like Gamestop and Amazon. The only place offering a preorder download is the Xbox store. Gotta get my Gamestop points, but I don’t want to have a disc or need to go pick up a disc for this. Some random anonymous French hatchback for your time.

I hate DLC, personally unless its the free / always free and doesn’t impact gameplay type.
Modern games seem to think they can charge $60 and expect endless micro-transactions. I just want to buy it, plug in the disc (or cartridge) and go.

I want to get the download of the game. For stuff that you are going to buy on release day and keep it is nice because you can download ahead of time and it will unlock at the appointed time.
As for other DLC, it depends on what it is. If it is things like maps/cars/gear I’m kind of OK with it. Extra stuff it is easy enough to pass on it so I don’t really care. Mostly you can just buy the game and run with it. Some games the DLC doesn’t add much, some like Forza it adds a lot as far as tracks and cars.

Adding tons is the issue, exactly though.
A skin, I wouldn’t care. But new cars / tracks? That means there is no way to know for a game what a friend might have access to, and I don’t.
Generally minor, but a pain point that should be eliminated... Unless it’s all free. Then it’s value added.
